Allergy Protocols
We take allergic reactions seriously. The following protocols outline our procedures for identifying, managing, and communicating allergens in our facility and products.
1. Allergen Identification
We actively monitor for the presence of the following common allergens:
- Peanuts
- Tree nuts
- Dairy
- Eggs
- Wheat (gluten)
- Soy
- Fish
- Shellfish
- Sesame
All ingredients are reviewed for potential allergenic components during sourcing and formulation. Each supplier is required to provide a Certificate of Analysis and disclose allergen handling practices.
2. Cross-Contamination Prevention
To prevent cross-contact, we adhere to the following protocols:
- Dedicated equipment for allergen-free product lines
- Thorough cleaning between production runs
- Color-coded tools and storage bins
- Separate storage zones for allergenic ingredients
- Mandatory handwashing and PPE for all staff
3. Labeling and Transparency
Allergens are clearly listed on our product labels in accordance with FDA and EU regulations. If there is any risk of cross-contact, we apply a precautionary “may contain” statement.
4. Customer Communication
Customers are encouraged to contact our support team if they have specific allergen concerns. You can reach us at support@yourbrand.com.
5. Emergency Response
In case of an adverse reaction report, we immediately:
- Log the incident in our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Investigate product lot and production records
- Notify affected parties and regulatory bodies if needed
We take every report seriously and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
6. Review & Training
Allergy protocols are reviewed biannually and all team members receive allergen awareness training as part of onboarding and annual refreshers.
